Renault to reduce range by 30%
Renault is ‘simplifying’ its product range from January 2011 by reducing the number of versions available by 30%.
From 4 January 2011 Renault will offer three trim levels per model, along with easy-to-understand formulaic equipment level differences
The number of versions across the Renault car range falls from 227 to 159 in total. The three trim levels available, depending on model, will be Expression, Dynamique TomTom and GT Line TomTom.
Every model range is included in the programme except the Renaultsport line-up and Gordini limited editions.
Robin Cook, managing director of Carco Group and chairman of the Renault Dealers Association commented: “It is something the network has been calling for a couple of years now.
“We have been having discussions with Renault to simplify the range, which they have agreed to do, and it will make life much easier.”
