William Brown, managing director, IM Group
William joined International Motors in 2004 and is responsible for the UK automotive division, this also includes the setup and introduction of various new energy vehicle brands that will be entering the UK. With 25 years of automotive experience at retail and distributor level, he is responsible for building successful partnerships with Automotive manufactures who look to bring their products to market in the UK. Delivering solutions to build brands, grow sales and offer the highest levels of dealer and customer satisfaction.
CK Lim, managing director China, Urban Science
Chee-Kiang (CK) is the China managing director for Urban Science, based in Shanghai. In his current role, CK is helping OEMs re-imagine their retail and channel strategies, by incorporating innovative sales models, online retail and digital technologies to transform their dealership networks. In recent months, he has also been assisting Chinese OEMs with their overseas growth strategy. CK has more than 25 years of experience as a strategy consultant and has covered China’s automotive industry since 2013. He has advised clients on the digital disruptions that are re-shaping the industry.
Ian Plummer, commercial director, Auto Trader
Ian joined Auto Trader in 2017 and is responsible, in particular, for growing Auto Trader’s new car business, as well as overseeing the manufacturer and agency part of the business. Previously Ian worked at Volkswagen, where he was director of sales operations in the UK, responsible for all UK Volkswagen passenger car sales as well as the franchise management and commercial programmes. Ian was also the former managing director of Renault Retail Group responsible for 25 Renault and Nissan dealerships, and prior to that held various international marketing, after-sales and e-business roles at Renault’s headquarters in Paris.
Al Clarke, programme chair, Auto Retail Network
Al has held senior executive roles with Ferrari, Maserati and the SMMT. Al started his career as a journalist and presenter with a decade working for the BBC and in commercial radio. He has a particular interest in the application of digital technology and connected car services in the automotive industry and regularly speaks at, and chairs events on, these issues.
